M-DOT Wins DARPA Award for Microturbine Development

2000 - Out of a field of more than 350 Small Business contractors, M-DOT alone wins DARPA's "Outstanding Performance by a Small Business Contractor" award.

 

2002 - M-DOT is selected for and successfully develops a warm-gas-driven fuel turbopump for Boeing's DARPA/ONR HyFly Hypersonic Missile.

2003 - M-DOT Successfully Operates the World's Smallest Gas Turbine Engine with a shaft speed of over 400,000 rpm.

2008 - Fuel-Lubricated Bearings are demonstrated to 294,000 rpm for operation in a tiny turbocharger for UAV heavy-fuel engines.

Manufacturing



M-DOT’s modern manufacturing facility features the latest in CNC turning and milling centers. We have certified welding, inspection, assembly, hot forming, sheet metal and material processing departments.

We are currently in development of proprietary processes that will yield medical-grade titanium micro-sheet-metal parts at very low cost.

All M-DOT Aerospace facilities meet appropriate environmental laws and regulations of the Federal government, Arizona state government, Maricopa County government and Phoenix government for, but not limited to, the following groupings: airborne emissions, waterborne effluents, external radiation levels, outdoor noise, solid and bulk waste disposal practices, and handling and storage of toxic and hazardous materials.

M-DOT is certified to receive, pack and ship Dangerous Goods per FAA 49CFR172 Regulations 6-21-2007 M-Dot’s modern manufacturing facility features state of the art CNC milling centers. Equipment consist of the following:

M-DOT Aerospace manufactures a variety of sheet metal and combined machined and sheet metal parts. Complex sheet metal parts including exhaust systems, burners and titanium structures are designed and manufactured. Equipment consist of the following:
